Ashley is a employment lawyer with more than fifteen years of experience. She has practiced Texas, North Carolina*, Virginia*, and Washington D.C. Ashley helps employers with compliance of federal, state, and local employment law, and can walk through tough decisions. Ashely spent years in the courtroom, and now she uses that expertise to help keep her clients out of litigation. Ashely also represents executives with negotiating and drafting employment, equity, and severance agreements. Ashley’s clients can always count on her level-headed assessment and attention-to-detail, with an eye on their goal. 

For employers, Ashley excels at drafting all kinds of employment contracts, handbooks and policies that take into account each employer’s unique business needs. She has experience conducting independent Human Resources investigations and providing comprehensive results and recommendations based on her findings. Ashley is adept at providing solid real-time advice and counsel that helps employers ensure compliance with employment laws while simultaneously achieving corporate goals.

Ashley is a sounding board and advocate for executive-level employees in transition, advising on both employment contracts and separation agreements. She is well-versed in executive compensation including salary, bonus, severance negotiation and structuring as well as stock options, phantom stock, SAR agreements, and LTIP agreements.

Ashley’s practice philosophy is “good fences make good neighbors.” If the contract/policy/handbook is clearly written and thorough, the likelihood of disputes is significantly reduced. Ashley prides herself on keeping her clients out of litigation where possible so that they can focus on what they do best: their business.

Ashley lives in Dallas with her husband, two boys and their rescue dog. She is a member and volunteer at the Church of the Incarnation and serves as a CASA advocate.
